Facilities Show 2012 press office is going digital!

Once again we are proud to be offering a completely paper-free press office at theis year's Facilities Show.  Exhibitor press packs will be provided on branded USB sticks and there will be terminals and wireless internet access for members of the press to work on.

Press FAQs

How do I register for a press pass?

Please register for your complimentary press pass using the ‘Press registration’ tab on the show website. Alternatively, you can register on site free-of-charge.

When will I receive my press pass?

You will receive your unique registration number (URN) via email within the fortnight prior to the event. When you arrive on site, you will be required to enter this number into the badge registration terminal which will print your press pass. If you do not receive a URN number in advance of the exhibition, you will be able to register with your business card on site.

What does my press pass entitle me to?

Your press pass entitles you to free entry to all three co-located events, (Facilities Show, Safety & Health Expo and IFSEC International) free access to all the seminar theatres and use of the press office. In this exclusive area, you will be able to browse information from exhibitors, access the internet for free and receive complimentary refreshments away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor. Members of the press are also welcome to use the press office facilities for editorial meetings with exhibitors.
 

Can I bring members of the editorial team with me to the show?

All members of the press are welcome to attend the event(s) free-of-charge. If you wish to bring colleagues with you, please ensure they register on the website or on site.

Will there be car parking facilities and will it be free-of-charge?

Car parking is available on site at a charge of £8 per day. UBM does not take responsibility for car parking services and will not be able to reimburse anyone using the on-site car parking facilities.  The closest National Rail station is Birmingham International which takes you directly in to the NEC.

Where will the press office be?

The location of the press office will be confirmed shortly.

Will there be storage space for my luggage/laptop/equipment?

There will be storage space for anyone wishing to leave any luggage or equipment in the press office. Please note that this storage place is not lockable and belongings will be left at the owners risk.

Will press packs be available in hard copy or electronic format?

Press packs will be provided in electronic format only on our branded USB sticks. There will be computers in the press office for those wishing to view the electronic press packs as well as wireless internet access for those with their own laptops.  The Facilities Show website www.facilities show.com will also host exhibitor and show news in the months leading up to the exhibition. Will there be internet access?

There will be wireless internet access in the press office as well as terminals that you are invited to use.

Will the press office be manned?

The press office will be manned at all times by a member of staff.


How do I retrieve official show photos?

Please contact Louise Boulden (PR & Communications Manager) after the event who will be able to source official show photos for you.

Can our publication bring our own photographer to the show?

You are welcome to bring your own photographer to the event(s). Please register your photographer as press either on the website or on site.  If you are planning on bringing a video camera please ensure that you bring a risk assessment with you. For further information please contact the Operations team.

Will filming be permitted at the event?

Filming is permitted at the event. In order to do so, you will need to pre-register your videographer on the website and inform the Facilities Show Operations team you are intending to film as we need to inform the NEC Birmingham.  A Risk Assessment will aslo be required.

What time will the press office close?

The press office will be open between 09:30 and 17:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 09:30 to 16:30 on Thursday.

When will official visitor figures be available?

Our visitor figures are ABC Audited and will therefore not be available until at least four weeks after the event.
